Hi, I'm a Community College Computer Instructor. I'm working on my PhD when I feel like it (which ain't often, man those prof's are boring) and otherwise trying to find some spare time for my family.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI is cool, was going to go for 10000 classis units but built new machines for my wife and self so went ahead and switched to BOINC.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
