Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it is very self centered and simple minded of us to assume we are alone in all the limitless vastness of space. I believe somewhere out there is a race that has achieved all the things we need to achieve. (world peace, end to hunger, etc.) I don't know how we will discover it but I'm not at all concerned about ancient fossils, I'm looking for species of superior intelligence. We should send a beacon, I thought voyager was supposed to do that? Either way, At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, I believe full well that first contact was made long ago and our government maintains a dialogue with an alien race.

I run seti@home because it's all I can do to help.
