I work with computers all day (since 1985) and I know how much time they are just sitting around doing nothing.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

If ET sends today in response to hearing our first ever radio broadcast, (about 100 years ago, being generous), it would take another 100 years for us to get the answer, and if ET was in our nearest neighbouring galaxy, we're talking millions of years ! I'm sure that despite Einstein and relativity, given a million or so years, mankind will come up with something better than radio! Its just a matter of time before we find it - or it finds us !!!
Trotzdem ein Appell an alle : Macht mit, dieses Projekt ist bisher einmalig, und es lebt von und mit uns allen. Auch wenn die aufgezeichneten Radiosignale eigentlich steinalt sind, k?n wir gemeinsam etwas f? Wissenschaft tun!!!
