| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I believe that what SETI@home is doing is one of the most important missions mankind has ever embarked on. What could be more important than once and for all answering the question of whether we are alone? Think of the hope it could give humanity.
I for one am certain that extraterrestrial life exists. It would be terribly arrogant to think that out of the boundless, limitless, vastness of the universe..we are the only planet with living beings. That is itself is totally illogical.
I am proud to be a part of SETI@home and will continue to run the program 24/7 until we make contact or they stop the project, which I hope they won't do! |
