Profile: Robert Munroe

Personal background
I am a 43 years old guy living in Augusta Georgia. I work for myself in three areas. I do business and marketing analysis of small business, I have my own photography company, and I buy and resell all types of items.
I am an avid in outdoor sports. I scuba dive, mountain bike, take outdoor photos, hike, backpack, and I use to sky dive until I crashed and burned one time to many.
I saw the seti screen saver on JAG and thought it was cool. Having just upgraded my computer and having plenty of memory and cpu power I thought that helping would be interesting.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do not believe that we could be alone in such a large and ever changing universe. I am not sure if we will discover life or if they will discover us.
I am not sure if we should send a signal. If they are anything like us their Govt will probally get the signal and then take over our planet.
I run the screen saver because a signal has the ability to go on forever. One day we might get lucky and capture one them. I do not know if we will understand any of it but it would be wonderful to hear it.
I think the seti project is a worth while endvor and should get more funding to upgrade their systems.
Good luck to all who help and may one of us be the lucky one to find the signal.
