Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Like they said in Contact, if we are alone in the universe, then it's an awful waste of space. I hope there's life out there somewhere and I hope they do a better job of caring for their home and the beings around them than we do.
I run SETI in the hopes that I can help further that quest for contact with extraterrestrial life. Plus I figure my computer isn't doing anything else so why not? ;-)
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
