Personal background
My wife and I have been cruising the Pacific NW for almost 3 years. We live on our 42 ft sailboat "Under Repair".
I downloaded 75 work units last spring before we left for Vancouver Is and the Queen Charlotte strait area. As there are no telephones in most of that area, I planned on running offline for the summer. After finishing 60 units, SETI monitor insisted that I upgrade. While trying to salvage the work, I seem to have damaged SETI@home. At present, I am unable to download a new copy. I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that I am now using AOL.
I sent an email more than 2 months ago and never received an answer.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think SETI is a very exciting project. I worked with Barney Oliver at HP Labs many years ago when he was working out how to build a large antenna array to simulate a very large dish. I am happy to help out but would appreciate a bit of assistance with some problems.
