Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
This project and others show that there is a concerned and dedicated population of professional and non-professional individuals that are seeking the advancement of science and pushing the boundaries our Earth's frontier. "Only arrogance can claim the belief that we humans are alone in the great expanse."
**Side Comment: Why is it that we are attempting to go back to the moon using decades old blueprints? Does Griffith and others really believe that this design is the best we have to offer? I am ashamed when I look at the Orion design and think that this is our representation of current science and technology. My biggest disappointment though comes from the lack of criticism from the citizen sectors where our best and brightest scientists have hardly uttered a word of condemnation to NASA on the budget driven approach.
