| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I joined Seti because I believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life. I find it hard to believe that there isn't anything else out there. I find that the human race is very egocentric. I hope we find something in my life time. I think we already have, but the general public just isn't aware. Could we handle it? Probably not because it would blow a hold in modern religion. That would be the danger to releasing such information. It could cause havoc.
I believe we should transmit a beacon that tells other possible beings we are out here and we come in peace.
I run SETI@home because I want to be a part of something that I think would be a great thing, and I want to do my share by helping. I think SETI is one of the most brilliant ideas of our time!! |
