| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I think that extraterrestrial live exists in the universe. We will
discover it when the human race is ready for the shock of the find and
what the ET brings with it. The possible benifits that come to mind would
be new technology, energy sources, medicine and medical procedures, plus
new new opinions of religon, and many other volumes of information.
I think some of the dangers would miscommunications that would lead to war
possibly death by the billions. Also you would not want to have a bad
miscommunication ourselves that would lead to the same.
2. Yes... and No. You would want to have a beacon that would explane that
humans want to have contact with a peaceful speicies, and not a violent one.
Also we would would want to broadcast that you only know so many languages on
earth and don't want to miscommunicate with them.
3. I run SETI@home for two reasons. One, I like to know that I helping find
the dream of most people, TO FIND ET. As for the suggestions I have none because
you have nothing that I would be unhappy with.
