Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes I do think that there is extraterrestrial Life somewhere. I think with all of the advancements in science we will find life elsewhere within the next 50 years and we will find the with SETI.
The benefits of such a discovery could change the world and the way we live as we now know it. Advance knowledge in Medical and science fields could save lives faster and better than what we can do now. The dangers of such a discovery is well...we can only hope for the best.
I think we should transmit a beacon for others to find. Who knows there might be a life form doing the same thing as SETI is. I think our message should be something of peace and cooperation.
Why do I run SETI@home? because I would like to be a part of the biggest discovery known to mankind when SETI does find a signal. The project itself in nothing less then incrediable. SETI@home should continue untill we do find something.
