Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. i think it does exist. i think humans will find it through the extraterrestrials giving us a little hint or two because at the moment they find us a little too staid and boring. i am quite sure they find the prospect of bigger planets with bigger parties more appealing. i think they might come in the next 30 years because if it happens any later then i'll not see it and that will be NO good sir! possible benefits, well, just being more aware of what's around us would be the best possible benefit, and the possibility of massive cross-species information exchange would have pretty impressive potential. dangers well, they could just blow us up, because we're kinda shady. and who could blame them?

2. i think they should! they should send a musical device, that activates and plays popular "jungle base" on superamplified speakers. perhaps a heat activated mini bar and a large screen video with remote control and a nice comfy sofa would persuade the extraterrestrials that we are worth having a gander at. also the a-team should be sent, just in case. actually!! send them the internet on a massive cd as well, and they could have a good laugh or whatever it is you kids do on the thing.

3. i run it because its pretty and my computer is largely as idle as i am.
