| When I was 6 years old (no I'm not telling you when that was!), I was given the "Ladybird Book of Space". I decided then that I wanted to be an astronaut. By the time man landed on the moon, I'd discovered that NASA wasn't hiring shorsighted British school kids. I was devastated. I decided then that I would become an astronomer. Unfortunately, that plan too fell through and I became a boring computer programmer. 25 years later, I'm still in IT but I'm now a Consultant (lend me your watch and I'll charge you £100 to tell you what the time is), having gone through several IT career changes - Systems analyst, DBA, Systems Manager, Project Manager. Most of my work is disaster recovery planning, web & multimedia development. |
