I'm an emergency services dispatcher for all of Kitsap County, Port Orchard WA. Hobbies include trains, star gazing and outdoor jobs. I'm new to SETI, but have always shared the interest. I am glad to be a part of this program.

In answering some of these questions, Yes i think extraterrestial life exist. When it will be discovered is unknown. I think we should make good efforts to continue the search. I'm not sure about transmittion of a beacon, If it attracted something we are not ready to face, that could be a problem, especially depending on the message we send. Look at what we are already sending with TV and radio stations.
I run SETI because I believe this will be the method of discovery. I only wish there was more I could do for the project.
