| yes, i do think it does. but why are we looking for something that is tangible to us? what if...et lives in time and not space?...just a thought. when we improve our knowledge of what we are looking for we will find it. benefits range in the thousands, new sciences, places, histories to learn and teach, the same effects seen as the human population began to travel and communicate with each other throughout history. I think we put enough out there as signals now. but is it all just white noise to someone else? we should encode our message in a pure musical form. music, mathmatics and geometery are intricatly entwined and bound to each other. i run seti because i think its just easier and faster for us all to help.(plus i think its a cool thought that i might find an intelligent signal on MY puter! :)) this project seemes to be one of the largest undertakings ever tried. kudos to us all for doing our part! just one suggestion...can we create a constellation for Walt Disney???? |
