Personal background
I'm 18, almost 19, and I go to the University of California, Irvine. I am an English major, and I like to read a lot. I also enjoy writing, listening to music, and hanging out with my boyfriend, David. SETI@home is fun!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm not sure if extraterrestrial life exists, but I think it's probable, considering how vast the universe is. Oh, and what's beyond the universe? And what is the "edge" of the universe like? And wouldn't it be cool (for a few second) to get sucked into a black hole? I run SETI@home because it's fun, and I'm competing with my boyfriend to see who can do the most data units (except he always sabotages my efforts!) If we on Earth do decide to get in touch with aliens, it shouldn't be by sending some random beacon - that's too disorderly, and it could reach unfriendly extraterrestrials.
