Personal background
Hi there! I'm 20 years old and SETI is on my computers now for about 5 months.
The day I startet running SETI was just another boring day in the time of my national service. I remembered the program SETI I saw a few years ago somewhere in the internet and downloaded it. In this moment there where about 10 computers I had to set up for the hospital and I thought by myself: Hey, lets see how much units they can do till I have to deliver them!

So, this way I got my first 500 units ;)

The time I'm not behind a monitor I climb rocks, run, canoe and enjoy the life that was given to me. At the moment, I'm still in good old Germany but I'll leave it to enjoy my practical studies in south afrika, Stellenbosch (Biotechnology). So far...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Could really be - if not... this would be a awful waste of space!
2. We should send a beacon - supposing there are no others would be very arrogant.
3. Let's see the things clear: Our chance to get a signal just in time the receivers are online is very small. But if we really receive a message... wow! This is the day our whole world will change! And I want to be a tiny little part of the people who made this happen! Let's hope they don't have the way of thinking George Bush has ;)
