Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home to answer my questions about extraterrestrial life and I want to be on the frontier of discovering it. In my opinion, humans should send out a becon, for if we don't what are the chances that they will? I think we should send out the standard pi signal, or that matrix defined by the multiplication of two prime numbers that prints out an animation of life on Earth. I run SETI@home so I can be a part of something huge and important in the scientific community, I find it to be somewhat of a first-step for the future of my professional life. I think that the project is truly brilliant. I loved how BOINK is opening up the code to the client, just be sure that the coder has not substituted anything for malicious code. Thank you for running this.
