Personal background
Hi my name is Sylvain and i am the founder of this group! You can find most of the peoples from this group at the following web site : www.rezoville.com

I did my studies at the Montreal University in Physics and my master degree in Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Quebec in Montreal!

I Like computers and the SETI project is a really good idea to take advantage of all the computers available around the world ! This is the best screen saver that I know !
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) I think it is possible that we will discover life of some sort in the universe. I dont think that life will be similar to human life. I think it will be very different and maybe more primitive like bacteria or ...

if life exist in our solar system we will discover it in the next 100 years. If life exist in our galaxy , it can take 1000 years or 10000000000000000 more time to discover it. The only way to detect life outside our solar system is with electromagnetic waves. By doing that, we assume that the E.T is a more advance civilisation than us and that they know much more than us about electromagnetic waves and physical sciences. we assume that they have radio-telescope or technology of that kind ...etc.

2) Yes, we must send a simple signal (electromagnetic waves) but something that is very different from the noice and the background of the universe. The message that you send is not so important. What is important is that the person who received it must know that this is an intelligent signal.

3)I run SETI for the pleasure of it. It is an intelligent screen saver ! AHAH
The project should continue. TO FIND NOTHING is as important as to find something, think about it ! :)

Mylord your founder!
