I started my work for Seti@home in February 2000 and currently have two PCs running the BOINC software - an Intel Celeron 2.4 Ghz and a Pentium 4 2.53 Ghz.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'd like to quote Douglas Adams here (from his marvellous book "The restaurant at the end of the universe"):
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
