Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

Is there extraterrestrial life?
Aren't we proof? - Ok so "extraterrestrial" implies not from "our" Earth - but
come on... eliminating the obvious? It would probably make us all feel a little
better if we thought none else will know what we really are.

But talking to them?
Do we really want someone going through our dirty laundry?
You bet!

What communication should we send?
This is a tough question, but here is what I have narrowed it down to.
A. Play music. We tell alot about ourselves in our ability to harmonize with ourselves.
B. Send up some nifty math equations - that one is always a good ice breaker.
C. Repeat the phrase "16 times 2, 16 times 2", then add a very long and evil laugh at the end for dramatics.
D. A recording of a Mickey D's drive-through greeting.
