Personal background
I currently run a Late Model Mustang Web Site called The Corral - http://www.corral.net

I host the site out of my house and since I've got a T1 and about 16 computers here I figured I'd lend some processor time out to SETI, which I've been doing on and off since 1999! :) In addition to searching for extra terrestrial life I also race cars and have two fast ponies in my stable. My daily driver is a 455 horsepower 1999 Mustang GT that runs 12's in the quarter mile and turns 1:30.xx second lap times at my favorite road race track. My racecar is a 2000 Mustang that I built from the ground up. You can see both cars at: http://www.corral.net/projects

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm a firm believer that other life exists beyond our solar system. With a universe of infinite size it would be statistically impossible for there not to be. When I was young, I and several other people witnessed a UFO from a distance of no more than 100 feet, so I'm quite sure that extraterrestrial life exists.

The true question is would extraterrestrial life be interested in us? We are a world filled with religious zealots of all types who kill, maim, discriminate and torture in the name of a "god" or "gods". Why would an alien society give us technology that would allow us to kill others throughout the galaxy? Humans have proven time and time again that they cannot take care of their own planet, that they cannot live peacefully together, and that they cannot accept new ideas. Who in their right mind would give us the ability to travel to the far ends of the universe with a history like that?
