Profile: Richard Mowry

Personal background
I am origionaly from San Diego California but I now live in Athens Georgia. I just turned 18 and I am working on geting a job. I am enrolled at Athens Technical College and am seeking an Associates Degree in computer networking. I have been a SETI@home user for over a year now although I have started over since my E-mail Account is no more. Loosing the credit for all of those work units doesn't really matter to me because I am not in this to rack up alot of WU's I just want to help the SETI cause in any way that I can.

My Computer:
AMD K6-2 550 Mhz 320 Megs of RAM running on a 20 Gig Ultrawide SCSI drive.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.I do think that extraterrestrial life exists, and I think that it will take more sky coverage and computing time than is even imaginable today. But that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try. I think that discovering ET will be an eye opener all around the world.

2.Humans already are sending a beacon its called radio.

3.I run SETI@home because I believe we are not alone and it is only a matter of time before we find intellegent life in the cosmos. I also think that when someone finds ET that just being a part of the project makes me a part of discovery and that is awsome.
