Hi all. Born in Limerick in 1965. I still live there, despite a brief period in the country. I'm a teacher by profession - physics, and computers. I've always had an interest in astronomy and the possible existence of other life out there.
Hobbies-wise, I like to read, listen to music, mess around with computers, go to the cinema, travel and watch Formula 1 motorsport. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Having come across Frank Drakes "equation" to approximate the number of other civilisations out there, I was hooked on the search. I think that for humans to assume that in the vastness of the universe that we live on the only inhabited rock is grossly self-centered.
Having heard about the seti@home project, I had no choice but to join. I've been running the program at home for 2 years now, and lately started another version on a computer at the local university where I'm studying part time. |
