| I'm from Ireland, born in '79 and work as a Network Analyst. I do some jobs on the side fixing up PC's - as a result I know have quite a few of them working on SETI@Home :) |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I wish SETI@home had the resources to expand the list of supported architectures and to better optimize existing ones. I've had some experience "rolling my own" and I have the client running on some pretty strange systems - it certainly wasn't easy nor without its difficulties.
As for the project itself, it may soon be sharing resource with projects like Folding@Home that have a more real world impact, but for now I will continue to donate my spare cycles to it.
