Personal background
Hi.
My name is oldtimer and i live in the wide open spaces of the great state of Wyoming here in the good old usa. I'm 61 yrs old but feel and act 40 or so my lovely wife tells me. My hobbies are prospecting, rock hunting, camping and cooking. I love to create new dishes. i am new to seti and i found the site by accident while web surfing. Looking forwward to hearing from some of you star gazers out there. And yes I believe. I know what my eyes have seen.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well so far I have as yet to form an opinion about SETI as I have just joined.

I do believe that it is a good thing that they are doing by searching for life outside of our own sphere of life.

It may well be that the life we might find just might be a life form that we cannot even imagine to exist. Not life as we know it but life as we do not know it. I think that some one said that the truth is out there all we have to do is find it.

A beacon? Why not. What do we have to lose.

I am running SETI to see what happens and just maybe be the one to find them.

Views and suggestions will follow after a trail period has passed.

As the blind man said " We shall see about this "

check out the hubble site they have some very nice wallpaper shots of outer space.
