Personal background
Greetings fellow SETI@home users:

This is a wonderful chance to share in an interesting and hopefully successful research project. My best to the project team!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Q: Do you think extraterrestrial life exists?___

ANS: I'll say yes. That's why I'm participating in this project. I believe it is possible for other similar life forms, like us humans, to exist and may be as capable to communicate or have sent data into the cosmos for us to stumble upon.___

Q: If so, when and how will humans discover it?___

ANS: Well, if I could tell you "...when and how we will discover it...", I would be a prophet or the most brilliant man to have ever lived. Since I am neither one of those fore mentioned people, I'll say this is a good start. SETI@ home and other research projects hopefully will play a part in determining if there is or is not life outside the Earth's life zone.___

Q: What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?___

ANS: Benefits, well if we find a viable source. Research money may not be too far behind. Lots of people will be employed into new jobs to find out ways to "Contact" this source. For science, it will be a new dawn.

What would it not effect! Our whole society would have to grapple with a host of questions. Good and bad would come of it as with so many things. The Earth would not be alone in the cosmos, given this, hopefully we can manage to see the benefits and minimize the dangers.___

Q: Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?___

ANS: SURE! If you really want to be found. I am not sure being found is as good as finding them first.___

Q: If so, what information should we send?___

ANS: Send a Yahoo! Greeting Card? - I don't know!!!!!___

Q: Why do you run SETI@home?___

ANS: Cause it's cool!!___

Q: What are your views about the project?___

ANS: This is a wonderful chance to share in an interesting and hopefully successful research project. My best to the project team! ____

Q: Any suggestions?___

ANS: Post a few images of the project team at work?
