Profile: Pedro Jr.

Personal background
I am Pedro T. Villanueva Jr., turned 19 on May 17, 2001, I'm currently taking BS Electronics and Communication Engineering at Technological University of the Philippines, and I'm a member of Core Group Choir of Sto. Nino de Tondo Church. Singing is my talent. I'm a pet and enviroment lover. The best part of me is my Curiosity about the life and other facts that interest me most and how things work, I really love to gain knowledge especially in the fields of science and technology. My other hobbies include exploring computer, games and internet, texting, watching sci-fi and horror movies which I find interesting, making any kind of floating objects (e.g. airplane made of styrofoam) and any mechanical toys (but unfortunately I had not finished all my projects because of lack of materials and knowledge). I had been exposed to computer when I was a 2nd year high school, in order to have knowledge I explore its potential everyday and try to do everything, the reason why my computer always failed and crashed, thats why I named myself as a computer crasher.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
My interest in extra-terrestrial was started when I was at the age of 8 when I first heard a news about UFO sighting, it came to mind my story when I woke up past 12 of midnight and sighted a steady Bluish Triangular or Pyramid shaped object on the sky. I didn't know what was it and it puzzled me, on that time, I have no knowledge about ET's or UFO's so I conclude that what I see is only a kite(flying on the middle of the night?). I didn't told this to anyone here because I know its nothing and it is unbelievable.
I discovered Seti@home and became interested when I was watching TVtech. I hurriedly go to the internet and in your website to download the program.

I run SETI@home because of my interest about the topic, and also I want to help to answear the present questions.
I believe that someday, SETI@home will be successful. But for now we must wait first and if we found none, we must try and try, because I believe that there is something on our space which needed our attention. The life is full of mystery and also the outside world, and there is nothing wrong if want to know and to explore it, thats why God created curiosity on us in order for us to do something even if it is unbelievable, and to gain knowledge about the beauty of His masterpieces nad His power.
I found nothing dangers in this discovery unless people give it some wrong explanations. The benefits are lies on the hand of some people, which has a knowledge of broadening the discovery to form useful one. Maybe someday if we fortunately found one, we can communicate with them, and ask to share about their life, if it is good or not. If it is good we can apply it here, but if not, then it is a warning from our neighborhood planet. Because of their advance knowledge, they will help us attain what we need, which is not discover yet here.
