Personal background
Hello, I’m 24 years old French/German European. I live and study (informatics) in Germany, Hanover at the time…
Not because it’s beautiful or because the university is better, but because of love…
Otherwise I like reading, travelling, and being curious about our World and the outside of his borders…
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think SETI is one of the greatest international projects, not only because of the co-processing (that could help in many other humanity-projects, like Medicinal Research), but also because of the importance of the question that SETI try to answer and the change that could append if it is answered... For the first time people all over the world come together with the meaning to find something else out there. We have no prove that any other life exists in the universe, but it would be very sad if we were the only life forms in this enormous sky, with billions, billions… of stars. It would be very good for us to meet an other life form, signal or anything else that proves that other planets looks like ours… Man is alone (or he thinks so), he appreciate nothing and slowly destroys is World for “more important things”, like money. He destroys himself, so how could he respect other things or beings. It would not only be a great scientific performance to find some signal, maybe it would be the beginning of the “coming of age” for Mankind. Maybe it would help us to find the way to live in peace together, and finely work with all the potential, creativity and science that we sometimes shows, for our own good and that of our planet… We should ever look to the stars to remember that we only are humans, on a very, very, very little spot in the Universe. And remember that for the moment we are the only beings who can set their destinies, and therefore have an huge responsibility about this very, very, very little spot (the only one we have!!!) and the other beings who lives on it with us…
