Personal background
Hi ...

I am 42 yrs old, from Terrebonne, a suburn of Montréal in Quebec, Canada..

I speak both French and English. Married with 2 children and Yes to I work as a project manager implementing Information Systems.

I love Life , my children and the chance to make a difference in someone's life.

I am your typical Sci-Fi fan and SETI brings me a little nearer form all those child dreams.

I am an eternal kid at heart...

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI is maybe like a loto ticket for excitment...If you do not have one you cannot win.

I do think that 2 possiblities exist. ( Life or no life )Until we have no firm evidence on the second one, let's see if that possibility can be proven. The first possibility is still the one in force. Unless any of you have a proof?

If intelligent life exist either they hide, they are too far or we are not looking at all at the right place.

The Question is not when will we find them ? but More...Why aren't they a fact of life yet ?

As far of benefit and danger of the discovery. I think that all SciFi buffs are aware that all possibilities are up in the air. I just hope we will not be in scenario like in 'V' or 'Mars Attack'. Who knows! We are like kids trying to light a match. It may be nice and warm, but it also can be to hard to handle.

I run SETI for the shear thrill of maybe being among a select few lucky, that will be able to get a first contact, If they exist..that is.

This project is the most impressive self help for science. I am impressed at how many get imto SETI@Home. It would be great if it could be part of a company release.. (For example..included in a version of Windows XP.)

It would also be nice that the data chunk could be split according the speed of PC you have. This way we would have a faster return of smaller analysed data. Smaller but complete...
