Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
ET life definately exhists, on earth life has evolved in the harshed of climates, from underground caves in the antarctic, to the equator, so if likfe can exhist in all these places it must be able to have evolved on ET planets, maybe if the climate is like earths equator at the poles or like the earths poles at the equator

since in history there have been mant E.L.E.'s (Extintion level Event) there may be planets that have had life evolving on them since the begining of time, a planet that has never had an E.L.E., so there may be many civilizations more evolved than us, so transmitting a beacon may be picked up and replied to, however, more evolved species may not want to disturb our development, and may even be hiding from SETI, so transmit a beacon could be pointless, or usefull.

i run seti@home because i am extraordinarily curios about space, and anything scientific, finding ET life, being a scientific event if it were to happen, we would have to study new biology, for example
