I do believe in extraterrestrial life and think it will be an accidentle discovery.The benefiits or hazards of such a meeting will depend on the maturity both worlds have and strive for.
I think it unwise for earth bound people to advertise our existence given our lack of maturity in dealing with our fellow earthers and our inherent paranoia of new technology. I do believe we are making stries on overcoming these .
I run seti@home because i find it both interesting and informative, it allows me a chance to partake in science on a scale that otherwise would be out of my reach.
I believe this project brings people from diverse backgrounds and education levels into the fold of science and exploration which they might otherwise not have access to. |
