| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I run Seti@home not just because I believe there is life on other planets, but also because I figure why waste the spare cpu cycles? I don't think it's a good idea to set up a beacon, though. Who says all alien cultures are going to be nice? We've seen that play out several times here on earth thorough history, and odds are any alien life that has interstellar travel is going to have better weapons than we do. |
