Profile: Charles E. Moor

Personal background
I'm 51 years old. I work as a computer drafter for a major utility company. I'm a big Art Bell fan. The shows about UFOs are my favorite. Since we are not allowed to listen to streaming audio at work, I record CoasttoCoastAM every night on my computer so I can listen to it at work the next day.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Since reading the story of Barney and Betty Hill's abduction by a UFO in a magazine at my grandmother's house when I was in junior high school, I have been fascinated by the thought of other intelligent life in the universe. Over 30 years ago, I took a course in college called "Are We Alone?" where we scientifically calculated the probability of other life like ourselves in the galaxy. If I remember correctly, at the end of the semester, we determined the odds were pretty good.

I run SETI@home in the hope of locating other intelligent life in the universe. I think we may have already been visited by ETs considering all the accounts of abductions and other reports of unknown aircraft tailing our jets, etc. Even though SETI has a more conservative approach in the search for ETs, I think it is a valid project and I want to help.
