Personal background
I'm a student. I'm studying in a pre-university college. I'm a 16-year-old girl(October 25, 1987) from the Southern part of India (a state called Karnataka). My real name is Sangeetha S. Delampady. Sang's my nickname. I love to read. I like books and some of them are the Harry Potter series and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I like music(Eminem, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Dido, etc.) and movies and some of them are "Crossroads", "8 Mile", "Steven Spielberg Presents Taken", "ET-The Extraterrestrial", etc. I'm a UFO buff.
I also surf the net looking for some information about my fave books, and about paranormal phenomena(especially UFOs). My other emails are:

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes. I do think that extraterrestrial life exists. If human believes in ET, or once they understand that ET life exists, they'll try to know more about them.
This will compel the person to try and discover a lot about them. If more than 75% of the humans believe in these and try to discover more about them using some devices, we'll be able to discover that ET life exists within half a century or a century. We'll also need to hold on to all the clues that we get and never let it go. Clues and news about abductions, sightings or encounters will also help a lot in discovering ET life for they're also important because they deal with ETs. The benefits are that we get to know the aliens living along with us and to get in contact with them might help us in one way or the other. I bet that they're not as cruel or disgusting like what they show in films. They can even be good. There can't be any dangers in such a discovery because it's just gonna help us in one way or the other. The ETs, according to some abductions or since when the UFOs started appearing, haven't done any harm to us, have they? They could've done a lot harm to us by now if they're really cruel and the only danger in finding out this thing is that the people will either not believe in it or just freak out when they hear about this for they do not know exactly how an ET is...
2. Humans can transmit a beacon for others to find. It might be helpful in a way. We could send messages that we want to become friends with the alien planet, also have friendly relations with them, etc.
3. I run SETI@Home because I'm totally interested in ET life. I also wanted to help you people. We also need some sort of strong evidence to say that ET life exists alongside us. At least, I want to know whether my guessing about UFOs are correct or not. Well, I'm glad that there is a project to help in finding ET existence. I've never found a project like this before and in India, people are not at all interested in ET life or something like that and there ain't anything form
