Personal background
Expatriate New Zealander living and working in Japan, and lately half of the time is spent developing a business in the US. I consult as a Manager of Technology and Business for a world leader in fitness equipment and programs, and the remainder as a Director, Producer, Video Editor and Cameraman with Tokyo's oldest foreign owned production company.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It would be astoundingly naive and delusional in the extreme to think we are the only intelligent life (and this is often questionable) in this galaxy let alone this universe. I personally don't think we will find them, I think they will find us when we are ready (if we ever are). I participate with seti@home on the extemely minimal chance that we do pick up a signal in the frequency range chosen. To prove once and for all, to all those people who suffer delusions of granduer that we are the one. We are, just one life form of millions of life forms teeming throughout this one galaxy.

As a Apple Mac Evangelist I run seti@home constantly on the following Macintosh computers:
PowerBook G4 500MHz, Mac OS 9.2.2
PowerBook G4 800MHz, Mac OS 9.2.2 & 10.2
Power Macintosh 7600 G3/450MHz, Mac OS 9.1
QuickSilver 2002 800MHz, Mac OS 9.2.2 & 10.2
iMac dvSE 600Mhz, Mac OS 9.1
Windows 2000, ASUS P4T 2.2GHz
