Personal background
I'm a Software Engineer, Network Administrator, Database Administrator, Web Developer, Switch Programmer, etc... When you work at a small company you must take on several titles. I have 5 computers running SETI at the moment, shortly I will be adding about 6 more. Need to add another file server, e-mail server, and a couple web servers to the network, so why not use them as WU crunchers too? I'll edit and add when I find something interesting to say. Later.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
ETs must exist. I am caught between the Scientific and Religious aspects of the creation of life so I can argue both sides. Scientifically, In the vast area we call outer space, you can't tell me that Earth is the only planet that is capable of sustaining life as we know it. Or that there aren't any other planets that can sustain life that we don't know about. Earth can't be the only planet that had single cell organisms billions of years ago. Religiously, If god is all powerful, then why wouldn't he have created life on other planets? Maybe he's using Earth as a test and there are some planets out there somewhere that have all of the good qualities and less or none of the bad. He watches us do wonderful things and passes those things to the other worlds.

Ok, far fetched but "It could happen".
