Profile: David McBeth

Personal background
I am Partially Dissabled with a rare Eye condition that makes me Hypersensitive to light, in particular U.V light, which I find VERY painfull. At age 30 and living in North East England ( Near Durham City, and Sunderland)
I have had health Problems all my life, I am now finding myself as an Artist, working with Ceramics, at a Local Art Studio, for people suffering Mental Health problems( I suffer from occasionally severe Depression). As a Manic Book Reader and Collector, my eye Problems sometimes hit me quite hard, and make life VERY difficult for me, especially getting a job, which I have found to be Impossible!!!, even though I can remember the storyline of EVERY fictional book I have EVER read in my life, And can remember if I have ever read any book, by just looking at it's spine. Currently I am the Captain of a local Sci/Fi and Fantasy Fan club, based on the Internet, with arround 34/5 Members, though most of them are Inactive at any time!!!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that Extra Terestrial Life MUST exist, purely due to to the Physics of Pure Science, though in what form I would not wish to even TRY to Postulate, as an ex Science Technichian, and Laboratory Assistant, I learned the truth of the old adage that " The World is not only Stranger than we imagine, It is stranger than we CAN imagine"!!!!!
I would not wish to comment about a possible beacon, since it is such a MASSIVE topic that would require International Co'operation!!, it is too big for me to not think about for a LONG time yet!!!!
I run SETI@home because I have a VERY fast computer that I rarely use the full capacity of, so as someone commited to the philosophy of Volunteering, it is only Natural for me to use my computer to benefit a worthy cause!!!.
