I'm your average everyday Joe, currently working on finishing up my latest writing project.

Nothing much to say really as far as hobbies go - Like to read/write SCI/FI - Fantasy books, been studying martial arts (several different forms) since I was 14, also enjoy long-board surfing when I can (Not very often now that I live in Nashville,TN) - And of course computers.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
(Do I believe in extraterrestrial life?)

I most definitely do, it seams to me that any self proclaimed intelligent life forms (humanity for instance) would have to acknowledge the high probability of the existence of life forms existing on other planets. Whether or not intelligent life forms exist I cannot say, although I would like to think so.

As to when or how, I would have to say that we will most likely discover life forms when and if we begin to deploy more long range manned missions further out of our small backwater solar system.

(Why do you run SETI@home?)

I decided that I would run SETI@home in hopes that even my puny little cheapo computer could possible make a difference to the effort. I truly believe that if more computer users/owners would dedicate even half of their idle cycle-times to helping with SETI@home / Folding@home / Genome@home / then maybe we humans can gain immense benefits never before imagined.
