Personal background
I have always been interested in astronomy and the fact that there could be other life in the universe besides us. I stargaze in my backyard when ever I can get the chance. My most memorable moment would be when I stayed up to freeze my butt of for the 2001 Leonid Meteor shower. That was a show that I will never forget.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that there has to be some other life in the universe. Otherwise, that's a lot of wasted space. Why would there be so many galaxies and earth like planets and amazing wonders out there if there wasn't? Each day, scientists are learning more and more about the cosmos and the universe. May be some day they will find that evidence of life. Even if it is tiny one celled organisms. It's better than nothing! I think the search for extraterrestrial life is something that should deffinetly be pushed for. I love the SETI@home project and constantly have it up and running now that I have a faster computer. What harm can to someone who just looked around?
