Personal background
I'm running Seti@Home for that most human of all reasons - Curiosity.

It's what causes us to do things like climb Mt. Everest or go to the Moon. Merely to see what's there.

I merely want to see if there are other intelligent peoples out there. And if there are not? Isn't that as amazing as if there are?
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
ET should be out there, there's enough room and variety of envyronments. If they're not? Than that's as amazing as if they are!

Personally I hope they are, but that Humans don't go and mess up 'First Contact' by being too beligerant, as we are wont to be.
