Personal background
Aging: at normal rate. Currently half way through my three-score and ten.
Occupation: computer professional.
Hobbies: (in no particular order) computers, roleplaying, proofreading, good wine, reading, classical music.

A fairly stereotypical single English gentleman, that's me, and I am not unhappy. Ladies are most welcome to get in touch.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I would be overjoyed, and at the same time fearful, if extrasolar life were to exist, but in either case, we should search for it. If it's out there, we need to find it.

I think it's wonderful that this project exists: quite apart from the objective, it shows the value of distributed computing.
