Personal background
Right now I have finished school and are waiting for my study to beginn(2002-10).
I will study physics at the university of Constance. Constance is in south Germany at the Lake Constance, that lays between Swiss, Austria and of course ;-) Germany.
For many years I am interested in astronomy - I love all space related matters.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1)Yes, I think extraterrestrial life exists, but finding them seems very improbable to me, because of "time gaps" and the devasting space between us and them. Thus regard SETI more as something to dream of and to "play" with. Like SETI @home. And maybe.....................

2)Well, finding a signal by ourselves seems better to me than beeing found by "Who ever knowes what". But more important it is to early!! We should wait until we peoples of the earth will grow up. As something like a "United Terra" we could send a signal. We would have earned it :-)

3)Two years ago I heard about SETI@home. I was fascinated, because I have heard so much about SETI itself and I have read "Contact" written by Carl Sagan of course, too :-) Now I could take part in it by myself---No, my computer was too "slow" :-(
But now I got a newer one. Yeahhh. A I stil thought about SETI@home...........
