Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It seems difficult to think that we're alone in this vast universe. The odds that the only live being were on Earth are thin but we could be the exception wich confirm the rule.
The other problems is to know which intellectual progress could have this other life form elsewhere. It seems dificult to communicate with it, because of the time of sound and light travel. What we could find should be transmitted a long time ago, and the transmitter should be dead
Even so, it seems to me important to contribuate of scientific and international research.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
