I am from Cyprus. I am 18 years old. I have just finished lyceum. Next year i will continue my education in Metsovio Politehnio of Greece. I am going to study Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences. I like running, swimming
and of course i like astronomy. I am raising funds to buy a new telescope to start serius amateur astronomy.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Even though i am sure that extraterrestrial life exists somewhere out there i am a bit disappointed because Setiathome haven't found anything yet. Well, lets hope that we will find something soon.
I run setiathome because i want to contribute in this effort to find extraterrestrial life. About the beacon i believe that it is a waste of time and money because it is very unlikely to be found by anyone. We sent billions of messages to the outer space every day. ( tv, radio signals etc).
