Profile: Fenyi_Observatory

Personal background
Fényi Gyula Observatory is a little school-observatory located in Miskolc, Hungary. The high-school and the observatory itself is maintained by the Jesuit Order. We have a MEADE 152/1370 APO telescope on a FORNAX 51 mount for observations.

P. Fényi Gyula SJ was a world-famous solar-physicist working in Kalocsa, Hungary in the turn of the XIX.-XX. century. He made a vast amount of observations about the solar activty, for example determining the motions of the protuberances through very accurate drawings. Our observatory is named after him.

We joined this community because searching for extraterrestial intelligence is a very exiting topic for all the kids here in our school! :-)
