Personal background
My name is Jason Roberson and I reside in Raleigh, NC, USA. I am a network monitory/analyst for the 2nd largest credit union in the US. In my free time I tend to be drawn back to one of my favorite pass-times. MUDding. Currently I MUD at AstroMUD (http://astro.mud.com), in which we have a small group that has registered with SETI Synergy and have our own subgroup.

I have been running SETI for almost 2 years and with the exception of computer issues and about 6 months of that time not running SETI do to such. I've tried to accumulate as many units as possible. I have placed myself in a friendly competition, with certain goals to achieve.

I also am constantly trying to upgrade or tag another computer on my network to run SETI in order to achieve the aformentioned goals.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
E.T.? I seriously doubt it, however I would not be shocked if something were to be found out there. Should we search for them just in case? Of course! Humans are nosy elitist groups that think we own even the universe, so why not work off of that ideology.

I do think the concept that developed SETI@Home was ingeneous. Bravo!
