| My name is Rebecca and I am 61 years old. I work as an Interpreter for deaf students in the public schools in Topeka, Kansas. My husband and I have 2 grown children who live in Texas and at present one two-year-old grandson. I keep busy working in our church, reading, putting up the vegetables my husbands grows in our garden and in my spare time I work on genealogy. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I don't know if there is extraterrestrial life or not, but on the hope that there is, I am running SETI@home in the hopes that I will be the one whose computer finds it!
Should we transmit a beacon? Why not? What information should we sent? It won't matter because, unlike TV, they won't speak the language that we send it in, so messages won't work. It needs to be something that will be easily recognized as be intentionally sent. |
