Profile: Mullifon

Personal background
Astronomy and the vast expanse of the (known) universe has always fascinated me. Born in 1956 I am gradually becoming an "old bone" - but still very young at heart ;-))
Hobbies are my family, our pets, my BMW motor bike, and many other interests (such as astronomy, fotography, travelling, sometimes a good book).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm convinced that there is no other civilization like ours "out there" - that idea would be too terrible.

My motivation to support the seti-project is to contribute my share to just prove this. Or maybe we will find some really sapient folks. As long as most of our governments (and many other individuals) behave like wild apes humans however should be kept in total insolation

A message beacon should contain exactly that warning:

STAY AWAY FROM EARTH !! - BEWARE OF HUMANS !! Your colonization and your own destruction will be very likely if you get messed up with us.

But as long as there are still ideas that nuclear wars could be won, one people should dominate the rest of the world, or as long as plans exist to abuse outer space with projects like "strategic defense initiatives" or "nuclear shields" - we really better should perish instead of spreading this over our galaxy.

Nature deserves better than us.
