Do you think extraterrestrial life exists?
Not sure if Life as we would know it will be found, it is
even possible if
there are communications out there from other civilizations
that they may
not even be using radio frequency at all, but a technology
we have yet to
discover.
Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?
We should at least try to transmit some sort of signal that
would cover
any and all bands and frequencies we have available. The
power would
probably be the limiting factor as well as cost.
Why do you run SETI@home?
I use a dual processor machine I built and most of the time
I don't need
all that power, so I decided SETI Research would be the
best thing.
I now run two copies of SETI when I am not using the
computer for
anything else, one for each processor.
